Biography
Louise Bédard has been an artist in her own right for over thirty years, intertwining her career as a performer with that of a choreographer. She has collaborated on the creations of several Montreal choreographers and artists. Noted for her intensity on stage as well as her ability to approach the choreographic universe of creators with commitment and passion, she received the Prix de la danse de Montréal’s Performer of the Year award in 2018 for her role in the show Tout ce qui va revient by choreographer Catherine Gaudet and for her entire career as a performer. In 1990 she founded her company Louise Bédard Danse. Since then, she has created more than forty pieces for her company, including several commissions for different groups and artists. She is a founding member of Circuit-Est centre chorégraphique.
