Line dance with Noel and Julien! Come as you are ㅡ SPURS Night is for the cowgirls, cowgays, cowtheys, and everyone and anyone wanting to stomp, spin and shuffle in unison. No experience required. Beginner lessons offered throughout.
Based in the history of LGBTQ+ country and western dancing, SPURS Night is a queer line dance community that combines traditional steps with a range of music—from honky-tonk to new country to contemporary pop.
The SPURS Nights have taken place weekly in both Montreal and Toronto since 2023, fostering a vibrant, inclusive, nightlife space for queer people and their friends.

Noel is an interdisciplinary, dance and movement artist, and has been at the helm of SPURS Montreal since December 2023. They’re a strong believer that everyone can and should dance, and have taught hundreds of people, of all levels and backgrounds, how to find themselves on the dance floor.
Julien is a musician and ceramic artist. He found SPURS in the fall of 2024, arriving with no prior dance experience. Inspired by the relationship between music, body and community, he quickly discovered a love for calling and teaching.
